Diablo Lake Paddle

unnamed

Six paddlers enjoyed the weekend camping and paddling in the North Cascades mountains. The group camped Friday evening at the Colonial Creek camp ground and shared a wonderful meal under the stars. On Saturday we paddle approximately six miles from Colonial Creek to the Ross Dam under bright blue, sunny skies. Most of the paddle is bordered by high cliffs on both sides of the lake. The ice cold water is a bright blue color which is derived from the high silt content of the water.
