Utsalady to Coupeville Round - Trip with Total Eclipse

This is a wonderful paddle that begins at the north end of Camano Island, goes down the west side and crosses to Whidbey Island. The Total Eclipse (unfortunately only total in central Oregon) will occur while we are on this paddle, so bring your best sunglasses. We then paddle to a wonderful sand spit just east of Coupeville where we will take a nice lunch break. We then paddle north to Blowers Bluff and get a peek at Oak Harbor to the north of us. There are nice cliffs and rocks along this section. We then paddle east to Polnell Point and take a break. Wonderful views of Mount Baker and the North Cascades can be had along this section on a clear day. We then paddle back southeast to Utsalady Beach. NSSKA last did this trip in 2011.

We will meet at the Stanwood Exit I-5 Park and Ride at 8am. We will then carpool to Utsalady Beach and launch. Expect not to get back to Utsalady until about 7pm, so bring food accordingly.
