**This trip is full. To be added to the waiting list, contact Karen Bertram at klabertram@icloud.com.**

Highlights

Join us for a week-long adventure to the Broken Group Islands in Barkley Sound, British Columbia. As one of the premiere paddling locations in North America, the Broken Group Islands promise wildness, beauty, and an abundance of marine life.

When: August 19-25, 2017

This trip involves two days of travel via car and ferry, and five days paddling and camping in the islands. Our primary aim is to explore and enjoy the many coves, lagoons, intertidal zones, sea arches, caves, cultural sites, and maybe whales! We’ll see as much as we can while avoiding big wind and swell.

Group size: 10 max (including trip leaders)

Costs: Plan on about $500 total (includes ferry, camping fees, hotel and food)

Rating: III-B overall

Trip leaders: Sam Magill (sam@sammagill.com) and Karen Bertram (klabertram@icloud.com)

If you’re interested contact either Sam or Karen. A $100 nonrefundable deposit is required so that we can make the necessary reservations. In addition, we would like everyone to have kayak camping experience. If you do not have this experience, please chat with one of the trip leaders, as they can advise on NSSKA training opportunities.
